Protecting members, donors, volunteers, and the organization requires secure tools, limited access, and careful data handling.
Production hosting should use HTTPS/SSL, enforce HTTPS redirects, provide DDoS protection, apply automated platform updates, and maintain regular backups.
Administrative access should be limited to the Web Steward and Chair or Secretary, use separate accounts and strong unique passwords, require two-factor authentication, and be revoked promptly when volunteers depart.
Never store card numbers on this site. Use PCI-compliant donation processors, reCAPTCHA-protected forms, approved external email storage, aggregate analytics only, and a private member directory. Keep records according to applicable Massachusetts requirements.
